Click Away Conference with Adorama

Adorama sent Danielle to the 2019 Click Away Conference for Photographers. The Click Away Conference brought 800 female photographers together to discuss craft, business, and careers. Danielle worked impromptu photoshoots, skill sharing sessions, and flash troubleshooting. On Saturday, she called her friend Paul Von Rieter to bring her some In-N-Out Burger.

Compared to Imaging USA and WPPI, Click Away Conference is a smaller, tighter, and more intimate network of photographers. Since the demographics of photography are changing, and women are entering the shutterbug workforce at accelerated rates, it's important that there is a professional photography conference run by women for women who are ambitious about their entrepreneurship.

I met so many new friends over the course of 3 days and 2 parties, and learned a lot from listening to their stories and experiences as they navigate this industry finding what makes it meaningful to them.

Photography for some of these ladies is a personal outlet for expressing creativity and seeing beauty, for others it is fulfilling the role of family documentarian, and for others it is using their technical skill to artfully serve their community by working with non-profit organizations, like The Gold Hope Project, in between paying clients.

While each of them use photography for achieving different goals, they all came to Click Away to be part of a larger community of supportive, like-minded people and to professionalize their creativity.

We’re proud to have been part of this event.
