Frances and Ken

Nestled in a corner of Chapel Hill, NC is a lovely wedding venue called the Chapel Hill Carriage House. This venue is emblematic of all things rural North Carolina has to offer and captures that "rustic-chic" aesthetic perfectly. With multiple locations to have a wedding ceremony, Frances and Ken chose the geometric open-air chapel structure situated alongside the pond. The gorgeous rotating floral chandelier spun gracefully at each summer breeze. The mood was light and playful as friends and family gathered for the ceremony while the string band played in the background.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed fun games and activities including a small putting green, corn-hole and giant Jenga. Of course, the most anticipated appearance for the evening was Abraham, the top-hat-wearing Alpaca, who was a true gentleman, for the most part...only once did he try to steal a drink. The theme for the evening was Summer Gatsby, so pearls, feathers, and cocktails were everywhere. It was beautiful documenting these two families joining together and sharing in the celebration of love.

“And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer.”
