Kathryn & Chris

We first met Chris and Kathryn over Skype when they were living in Oregon. Instead of an engagement session, we photographed their rehearsal dinner at Second Empire. The evening was full of love and heartfelt thanks to the family and friends that helped plan their wedding while they were three time zones away.

Kathryn and her bridesmaids had their hair and makeup done in the gorgeous Glass Box that overlooks downtown Raleigh. We love photographing in this space with it's large windows and open floor plan, the bright, clean imagery we get out of this room makes it one of the best bridal suites in the area.

For their ceremony venue, they chose the historical landmark, All Saints Chapel in downtown Raleigh. The chapel has existed in Raleigh since 1875 and was preserved and restored in 2006. As one of the prettiest chapels in the Triangle, it has beautiful Gothic arches and stained glass windows. After the ceremony, the couple and their wedding party stayed in the heart of Raleigh and hosted their reception in rustic chic venue, The Stockroom at 230.

Kathryn and Chris have such a supportive group of family and friends whose love for them was evident during the wedding day, from the excitement of seeing Kathryn in her wedding dress for the first time, to the funny and sincere toasts given to them at the reception. They know how to through a party too! They entertained their guests with a fun couples' trivia version of the shoe game, laughed their way around the venue in a dance train which then turned into a dance off circle! Kathryn and Chris celebrated their love together and with those closest to them, we hope they continue making more of these happy memories.
