Alli's Portraits
I love making friends with performers, actors, and other creatives. There’s an authenticity and openness that I see in their personalities, and Alli is no exception. With 15 years of dance and theater experience, she’s comfortable under stage lights and has performed in recognizable hits like Hairspray, The Little Mermaid, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast. Recently I got to see her in the Gallery Players’ production of Legally Blonde the Musical! It was “Omigod you guys” awesome! :) I’m stoked she asked me to update her professional portraits. We chose the NC Museum of Art for it’s minimalist backgrounds to highlight her expressive features. Her background in performance art gave her a quiet confidence in front of my camera. I can’t wait to see her perform next in Ira David Wood III's A Christmas Carol, a musical comedy adaptation of the Dickens classic.
