Presenting at the 2018 WPPI Expo with Olympus in Las Vegas, NV
In February, we were invited by Olympus to give presentations at the 2018 Wedding and Portrait Photography International Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada. Shaun presented with Olympus at WPPI in 2017, but this time I was asked to present as well! So over the course of 3 days, we gave five presentations focused on wedding photography. Our talk, "The Wedding Day Sequence," is a way of thinking about the different genres of wedding photography that fit in with the different time periods during a wedding day.
The video linked above shows the preparation and anxiety that comes with the territory of public speaking, and highlights some important considerations for professional wedding photographers wanting to fine-tune their off camera lighting set up to maximize efficiency on a busy wedding day.
While attending the Expo, we enjoyed meeting new people and making new friends who share the same love of photography. We shared the Olympus stage with our friends, Olympus Visionary, Tracie Maglosky, and photographer and educator, Joe Edelman!
There was plenty to see, as you can tell in the video, the Expo floor inside the Mandalay Bay was huge! Attending trade shows like WPPI are a great way to stay on top of the latest trends and gear in the industry.
